Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, an artist's daughter, born in Mexico was born into the music-loving parents of her family. The music she grew up with was classical and old boleros, along with the traditional songs of romantics and ranchero. Ana enjoys tangos and opera and dramatic performances. When she was a child, her mother would sing with her and sister, she began more intense training in singing at 16 under the guidance of renown Mexican Tenor FlavioBecerra. Her music training continued in the School of Music of Guadalajara University. Later, she attended The School of Sacred Music of Toluca. She sang throughout Guadalajara, Mexico City and other cities as a young scholar and professional. When she moved into the United States, she performed with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. After 2002 she moved to southern California. She sings as a soloist Latin American music for private events and also as part of Ensemble XXI in Redlands. as a music teacher and musician, she is committed to numerous community projects because of her passion and enthusiasm for music. Ana has been a participant in the Community Chorus of Redlands (as well being a member of the Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana is thankful for being able to share her love and enthusiasm for traditional Latin American songs with others and, in the process hopes to impart a desire to, particularly in the younger age group to keep this music vibrant and alive.Viva Mexico!
